More than 30 years ovening Inpanasa (Industrial Pastelera San Narciso, SA) is born in Girona in 1976 with a small oven property of the Montes-Lara family, and a very clear idea: to give the highest quality to products with natural ingredients and selected suppliers. The production is increased gradually due to the great acceptance of its products, so that at the end of the seventies, the distribution covers practically all the national territory. In 1981 Inpanasa creates the sponge cake, unique in the market and the company flagship product. The great consumer demand, forces the company to extend the production line. Inpanasa continuously innovates its product range, based on consumers’ preferences and traditional recipes, being pioneers in product creation such as handmade cocas, cream rondas, and fairy cakes baked with yogurt, pinions or chocolate nuggets. From 1989 on, Inpanasa starts distributing products outside national frontiers, which supposes a new extension of the productive line of the company. Now Montes&Lara products are present in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, United Kingdom, Holland, Luxembourg, Ireland and Austria. The expansion to other European markets is in its early stages. In 2000, the company starts a process of modernization of its facilities and machinery to guarantee a large-scale production, following elaboration processes. Currently, the company has a surface of more than 6,000 m2, and three lines of production, with which 40 tons of cakes are daily, produced. As a result of its productive process and the quality of its products, Inpanasa has received different prizes granted to the quality and service.
